Desired Candidate Profile :
Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Computer Science OR MCA / MCS / PGDCA
Experience:
* 2 to 4 years of experience in portal design, configuration, tuning, installation, development and / or implementation
* Extensive experience configuring web parts, Windows SharePoint Services
* Experience developing portal strategies for MS SharePoint platform. Direct experience with SharePoint 2007 solutions is preferred with knowledge on SharePoint 2010. MOSS 2007/MOSS 2010
* Minimum 2 years development experience in .NET technologies including ASP.Net, VB.Net, C# and extensive experience with SQL Server 2005
* Solid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
Job Description :
This person contributes to the Project Team by using his / her in-depth knowledge of SharePoint to deliver his / her works within the prescribed timeframe with the highest degree of accuracy, thoroughness, and efficiency.
The SharePoint Developer works collaboratively with the project team members in an unstructured, ambiguous environment. He / she may drive a small sub-team on a project, as necessary.
Responsibilities:
Design
* Participates in requirement gathering and design sessions and creates necessary requirement artifacts based on the guidelines
* Provides inputs and designs application modules under direction of a Senior Developer / Track Lead or an Architect
Development
* Writes application code to meet expected quality standards by conforming to the steps of doneness defined by the project
* Identifies and creates unit test cases and writes code to validate those test cases
* Participates in technical walkthroughs/ code reviews of other team members’ components, test plans and results and help them with gaps
Planning & Tracking
* Works with Track leads or the Architect to create mid level and low level plans for the modules they own or are working on
* Reports accurate status to the track lead/ architect
* Identifies & escalates issues that might delay the work. Reports progress and issues to the track lead/ Manager in a timely manner. In particular, to relay issues that might impact on quality or the ability to deliver to timescales or estimates.
Process Adherence
* Delivers in compliance with Silicus methodology, processes, tools and technology standards.
Documentation
* Creates, maintains and updates the design documentation for the modules he/she is responsible for
Client Interaction
* Participates in client meetings when required, and provide inputs and ask relevant questions during both the design and implementation phases.
