Desired Candidate Profile :
• BS in computer science, Information Technology and/or equivalent job experience.
• 4-6 years of software development experience on the .NET platform, including C#, web services, ADO.NET and systems integration
• 4-6 years of experience designing and maintaining Microsoft SQL Server databases
• 4-6 years of experience using Business Intelligence / Analytics / Data Warehousing / Data Mining tools and techniques, including report writing and delivery
• Proven ability to implement software tools from identifying requirements to researching build-or-buy decisions to deployment, including outsourcing software development projects
• Mobile telecommunications industry or scientific field experience is preferred
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, including customer-facing content
• Ability to work independently and drive innovation but also collaborate in a team setting
Job Description :
The ideal candidate would be a Business Intelligence (BI) / Analytics expert with a strong background of turning data into information via report writing and delivery with a wide range of tools from Excel to manual SQL queries to BI / Analytics platforms. Strong skills in software development in a C#/.NET environment will be necessary to write custom applications to collect and transform data from a wide array of sources. Additionally, the candidate must have very strong database design and administration skills, with experience in data warehousing and mining tools such as ETL and OLAP.
Candidates must possess strong requirements gathering and project management skills necessary to completely understand the data and reporting deliverables, evaluate and implement COTS applications and/or outsource development when appropriate. The ideal candidate will be very detail-oriented and independent enough to lead their projects through to implementation.
